I had kind of a love and hate relationship with this painting... It ended up a bit different from what I had in my mind but I think it's better this way (usually the opposite happens ). I'm just not sure about the colors and composition (I cropped it to look better), some feedback would be nice . Anyways, that's the first time I'm totally satisfied with a face drawn from imagination; I finally understand how to shade cheeks and jaw without looking like the person got the mouth filled with something >.>
By the way, this was supposed to be my entry for a contest but I didn't finished it in time. Oh, well...
Used Photoshop and the mouse plus this brush for the snowflake on her forehead[link]
Gorgeous work! It looks very ethereal. The details are very realistic, while keeping a lovely painted look. You did a wonderful job with the shading on her face, as well as the highlights on her cheeks, nose, and lips. It looks very three dimensional. I like the color you chose for her eyes because it adds to the mystical look while matching the overall color scheme. I love the fine details such as the individual strands of her hair, the soft eyebrows, the almost snowy eyelashes. Wonderful piece!
Your shading on this is quite amazing and I wa instintly drawn in by her beautiful (such an understatement, they're amazing!) eyes. The lips also look very realistic and well shaded. The character's face overall does look like it might blink any second.
The only thing that I feel could be done better is the hair. It doesn't seem to wrap around her right, and would be ...idk... maybe less flat in the front? The shading was fine its just the positioning.
Overall, beautiful picture. Its definitly a favorite.
Thank you <3
